Dvůr Králové nad Labem is an historic town of sixteen thousand inhabitants and lies in the picturesque Krkonoše foothills. It offers a range of historical, cultural and artistic monuments, beautiful surroundings and abundant opportunities for sports and cultural activities both in the summer and winter months.
Discover the beautiful sights of the town and surrounding countryside either on foot, bicycle rides along any of the many cycle paths or on a quad bike. For people more at home in the air than on the ground, there are sightseeing flights and even paragliding.
One of the biggest attractions is the zoo with the largest collection of African wildlife in Europe and the Safari Park. Visitors’ steps do not lead them only to the zoo.
Come and experience the relaxing atmosphere of forests with their gently flowing streams, rock formations and enchanting niches, the fairytale castellations of Les Království dam or the Kuks Infirmary – a pearl from the zenith of the Baroque from the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
On hot days refresh yourself at Tyršovo Lido which is one of the most beautiful of its kind in the Czech Republic or at any inn with a glass of the excellent local brew, Tambor beer.
In the winter, when the footpaths are snowed under, put on cross-country or downhill skis to see the surroundings.
These and many more attractions await you in Dvůr Králové, in a town with a rich history and a lively present.
